The baby is growing at a rapid pace and almost all the major organs are now intact. You can see your baby through ultrasound scan. You might be able to distinguish its facial features. Another thing that will surprise you is his movements such as turning, squirming, twisting, twitching and other athletic stuff.
Development in 16th Week Pregnancy
In a baby girl, almost 4 million eggs are formed in her ovaries; however, the numbers reduce by the time your baby is born.
At this stage, the bone structure or skeleton is almost formed to a point where you can see it easily on an x-ray film. The fingers and toes are getting a soft covering of nails as well. At this stage, he is getting oxygen through umbilical cord, but he is being involved in some sort of breathing exercises which support the process of his lungs’ growth.
Appearance in 16th Week Pregnancy
Now, your baby is pretty much like a human in looks. He begins to give several different expressions such as yawning, frowning, and even such his thumb as well.
Movement in 16th Week Pregnancy
In case this is your second or third child, you will begin to feel the movements made by your baby. As we have said before that your baby is becoming more and more active and making more and more movements, but the nature of the movements is very slight and it is hard for you to feel any movements. It is hard for the women to feel these movements if it is their first time. At this stage, the nature of movements is just like a fluttering of a tiny butterfly or popping up of bubbles in a fizzy drink.
