FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My partner does not seem to be bonding with my unborn baby in the same way that I am. How can I encourage him to feel differently?
It is natural that mother is more close to her babies than the father as mothers are experiencing the different signs and symptoms of pregnancy which father doesn’t know off. This is the stage at which the ear bones are developing for your baby and it is a good time to inspire your partner to feel the baby by placing his hand on your abdomen or head to hear any sounds. Also, encourage him to accompany you during your visits to doctors for antenatal checkups or ultrasound scans as this will give him a chance to realize the feel of having a baby. Watching his baby in the scans or hearing his heartbeat will definitely have a positive impact on your partner.
