With the every passing week, you will get keen and intolerant as how your baby looks like and what features he possess. Now the coming weeks are extremely vital for your baby. He will develop a lot of deposits of fats which help to regulate the temperature in external world and also, his lungs will reach to final development and allow him breathe on his own.

Development in 29th Week Pregnancy

Eyelids are no more fused closed and your baby begins to blink now. As the eyes are open now, your baby may feel the shadows and silhouettes of shapes the external world from inside the womb. Fats are constantly depositing under his skin which not only help him regulate body temperature in the outer world but also become handy at the time of birth to generate heat. Lungs are still developing. Your baby will grow about 1 cm every week.

Appearance in 29th Week Pregnancy

All the organs of the body are now getting into proportion. The fat accumulating fat deposits underneath the skin reduces the wrinkles of the body and gives your baby a little plump looks. The leanness and transparency of the skin is gone by now and the complex network of blood vessels is no more visible through the skin.

Movement in 29th Week Pregnancy

By now the movements are more evident and you may feel at least ten movements of your baby in a day. The baby still has enough space to somersault in the uterus, but the probability of somersaulting lessened by this time.

Small Babies

Small babies or small for date babies (fetal growth retardation, small for gestational age or intrauterine growth restriction) can be observed by this stage of pregnancy.

It is often happened that the baby seems smaller than anticipated for his pregnancy period. In this situation, ultrasound scans will be conducted to observe the growth of the baby. Antenatal checkups are required to monitor the flow of blood through the placenta from mother to the baby.
