At these last weeks of pregnancy, you may feel uncomfortable with Braxton Hicks tightening. You are now in the phase where you have to make sure that all the work has been done by now and you have to prepare yourself for the labor. Many women wait consciously about the labor time because this is the most crucial phase for a woman and for her baby. From the time of labor to coming few weeks all are pretty important.
Development in 36th Week Pregnancy
Almost all the major organs of the baby are developed by this time but still the baby is not considered as ready to bear the harshness of outer world. Lungs are still growing and fats deposits are continue to build up underneath the skin of the baby.
Appearance in 36th Week Pregnancy
By this time, the nails are almost fully grown over the fingers and toes are like a thin paper which is very soft. However, the position of the baby at this stage can only be told by the midwife after she has had a thorough examination of your abdomen.
Movement in 36th Week Pregnancy
Although, there is very less space for your baby to move, still you can feel movements from your baby. The arms and legs movement at this stage will be reduced and the movements you will feel at this stage will be large shifting movements. You may feel at least 10 movements a day at this stage also.

I sometimes notice my bump tightening. Does this mean I’ll go into labor early?
This situation is called Braxton Hicks tightenings. Braxton Hicks tightenings are mild, variable tightenings which are there with you all through your pregnancy. These become prominent in the final weeks of pregnancy. However, women begin to notice them somewhere around the 25th week of pregnancy. These tightenings are in fact a step to prepare your uterus for the labor. These are irregular and normally not painful as compared to labor contractions which are really painful.
