Development in 4th Week Pregnancy
During the 4th week of pregnancy, the division and multiplication of the cells become rather quick and results in the three layers of the cells.
- The outer layer called the Ectoderm – this will form the brain, nervous system, skin, hair, nails and teeth of your baby.
- The middle layer called the Mesoderm – this will form the heart and blood vessels, bones, muscles and reproductive organs of your baby.
- The inner called the Endoderm – this will form the lungs, liver, bladder and digestive system of your baby.
Appearance in 4th Week Pregnancy
The cells of the embryo develop along the length and give the cells a bit leaner look. However, the outer cells stretched in the form of small finger-like projections called villi which are connected to your circulation.
Each and every cells of the embryo contains 46 chromosomes in 23 pairs where one of each pair is inherited from each parent. Whenever the cell division occurs, each of the new developing cells would possess the same genetic information with same number of chromosomes as well.
